Welcome to TheTransPanamaTrail.com!
The goal of TheTransPanamaTrail.com is to inspire interest and increase access in outdoor recreation in Panama.
The mission of the TheTransPanamaTrail.com project is to raise awareness of the TransPanama Trail by documenting a through hike. The documentation is intended to be an organized resource with useful information about the trail, points of interest and potential encounters along the way for future hikers.
The TransPanama Trail is a long distance route (approximately 700 mile-long) that crosses Panama from the border with Colombia to the border of Costa Rica.
The hike begins in June but for now you can take a look at the route on this interactive map. The marker you see is the eastern terminus on the border of Colombia, Nique Heights.
